Velma Deering

Velma Florene Deering, age 96, of Royse City passed away Saturday afternoon, November 21, 2020. Velma was born on June 2, 1924 in Fort Cobb, Oklahoma, the daughter of Charlie Austin Morgan and Lois Owings Morgan.

On August 4, 1940 Velma married Glendon Jackson Deering and went on to have three children. Glenda Holdridge and her husband Don from Pittsburg Tx, Wayne Deering and his wife Wanda of Surfside Beach South Carolina, and Cindy Burton and husband David from Greenville Tx.

Velma is survived by her three children, her sister Eva Joyce Timmons, two sisters in law Pearl Morgan and Jean Deering, five grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Velma is preceded in death by her husband Glendon, her parents Charlie and Lois, her two brothers Bud Morgan and Winston Morgan and her brother in law Harold Deering.
