In Loving memory of Tracy Hendrex Hughes, June 6, 1957 – March 14, 2020

Tracy was preceded in death by her parents, Pinkey Harvey Hendrex and Laverne Long Hendrex Whitaker. She is survived by her husband Dennis Hughes; sons Brock and Brandon ‘BJ’ Petty, and loving daughter-in-law Candis Petty. She had one step-daughter, Christie McIntyre. Her brother and sister-in-law Kelly ‘Pinky’ Hendrex and Lynn Hendrex along with niece Kelsey Bates and her husband Justin Bates, and nephew Kale Hendrex. Tracy was a ‘Gigi’ blessed with loving grandchildren, Colin Sullins, Lily Petty, Peyton Petty, Trey Scribner, Kirk Scribner and Gracie McIntyre with great grandchildren Nathan Nicodemus, Dusty Scribner and Carsyn Rae Staring.

Tracy was a Christian with her first love being God. Just to look at the sparkle in her eye and her truly loving soul told anyone that met her she was full of the Lord’s spirit. She was a member of Higher Trails Church and was a very active member in their band.

Second only to God was her family, which she put above everything else in life. Tracy was an outstanding wife, mother and grandmother to her kids. She was always known for her inviting smiles. She was a dedicated legal secretary for the Collin County District’s Attorney for 30 years and retired.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Higher Trails Church in memory of Tracy Hughes's.
