Margaret Divinia

October 16, 1940 — November 19, 2020

Margaret Divinia, age 80 from Greenville, Texas gained her wings after a long battle with illness
Thursday, November 19, 2020. She was greeted in heaven by her father Albert Stapleton,
mother Esther Stapleton Wallace, Stepfather “Booster” Wallace, loving husband Don Divinia,
beloved daughter Margaret Odena Goswick, brothers and sister Conney, Billy, and Sarah, and
grandson David Robinson.
Margaret was the oldest of 10 kids. She is survived by 4 brothers and their wives: Al and Rose,
Richard and Barb, Johnny and Anita, and Don and Theresa Stapleton. And 2 sisters Velma and
her husband Alton Durham and Wanda Clark. If she were here to tell us about her life, it is
certain that she would mention she grew up in the cotton fields working hard but loving life, even
when it was hard. She would later start a family of her own 3 daughters and a son: Carol and
husband Allen Robinson, Mildred Goswick, Margaret Odena Goswick (deceased), and Eddie
Goswick (the “baby boy”) with wife Tammy. There was no greater joy than being their mom and
they were the apple of her eye... until grandkids came. 7 grandkids would bring so much
happiness to her life Kristi Robinson, David Robinson (deceased), Heather and her husband
Justin Spruell, Nicole and her husband Bobby Fischer, Matt and his wife Courtney Goswick,
Emily Goswick, and Rachel Goswick. They would give life to a fourth generation of 11
great-grandkids that she would spoil and love so much. Later she would meet her soulmate
Don Divinia (deceased) and they were married on October 22, 2004, and this union would
produce a sister-in-law Nancy Newland, step-sons Dustin Divinia and Darin Divinia, and
step-grandsons Dylan and Derek Divinia. Margaret was a faithful member of the New Life
Baptist Church where she was loved and you could always count on her bringing donuts every
Sunday morning. She was a loving, caring woman who was loved by many and will be missed
dearly by family and friends.
Margaret had an enormous love for life and family that made her the center of every family
event. She will be sorely missed. If she could have one last thing to say it would be that she
loves us all, our time on Earth is short so please be kind, love each other, forgive someone, and
most of all family is important so call a friend or reach out to a family member you haven’t
spoken to in awhile.... And don’t forget to watch the Cowboys play on Sunday, cause Sarah and
I will be watching from above!!
