Magdalena De Padilla

On Saturday January 23, 2021, Magdalena Jasso de Padilla, a loving mother passed away at age 84.

Born on July 22, 1936 in El Panal, Guanajuato, Mexico, Magdalena Jasso Montes, was daughter of Jesus Jasso Pacheco and Manuela Montes Torres. In 1953, she married Refugio Padilla Cortez in El Panal, Guanajuato, Mexico and later moved to Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico where they raised five sons and four daughters.

The love that Magdalena gave her children was immense. She was a strong and courageous woman who always instilled family unity in her children. It was her passion to prepare meals for her children. She enjoyed cooking and the way she prepared meals was admired by all who frequented her home. She was a homemaker, dedicating all of her time to her family.

Magdalena was preceded in death by her sons Juan Padilla Jasso and Felipe Padilla Jasso.

She is survived by her husband Refugio and: Daughter Juana Padilla Jasso of Greenville, TX; Son Refugio (Esther Garcia) Padilla Jasso of Manzanola, CO; Son Ramon (Christine Hillyer) Padilla Jasso, of  Manzanola, CO; Daughter Maria Anita (Everardo Luna) Padilla Jasso of  Greenville, TX; Daughter Maria Martha (Baltazar Uribe) Padilla Jasso of  Greenville, TX; Daughter Manuela Padilla Jasso of Greenville, TX; Son Juan Antonio Padilla Jasso, of  Manzanola, CO; Brother Viviano Jasso of  El Panal, Guanajuato, Mexico; Brother Marcos Jasso of  Lufkin, Texas; Brother Roman Jasso of  Eagle Pass, Texas; Brother Vicotriano Jasso of  Piedras Negras Coahuila, Mexico; Sister Guadalupe Jasso of  Leon, Guanajuato Mexico; Virginia Jasso + 33 grandchildren and 41 great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January  28, 2021 at Peter’s Funeral Home at 12 o’clock p.m. Flowers or donations may be sent to 4201 Wellington Street, Greenville, Texas.
