Daniel Jones

Daniel Grahl Jones, 85 of Greenville, Tx passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 25, 2021. A Graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Restland Cemetery in Dallas, Tx.

Daniel was born on November 1, 1936 in Dallas, Tx. To Bonnie L. and Daniel M. Jones and was raised in Alvarado, Tx. He enjoyed playing football at Alvarado High School as well as Texas Tech and UTA. He served many years as a volunteer fireman in the Cockrell Hill Fire Department in Dallas County. Daniel also served as Fire Chief, Fire Marshall, and Arson Investigator for Dallas County. He worked as a carpenter but by trade was an HVAC Technician for many years. Daniel was an Overseer and Elder for Living Christ Church for the Dallas, Ft. Worth, and Greenville areas. He was very active in the church and cherished his spiritual family.

Daniel was previously married to Freida Downs Marsh. They had two sons, Danny and Jim Bob and one daughter, Beth. He is survived by his son, Daniel E. Jones and wife, Karan; his daughter, Bethany A. Salvaggio and husband, Charles; many granddaughters, great-granddaughters and great-grandsons as well as many great great-grandaughters and one great-grandson.

Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, Bonnie and Daniel, his youngest son, Jim Bob, and many aunts, uncle’s and cousins.

Directions to Graveside in Restland Cemetery - Once you go through the main entrance to Restland Cemetery on Greenville Ave. you will take an immediate right in that parking area and follow road and the Graveside will be directly across the north side of the Abbey Mausoleum look for the blue tent.
