TZ Lucas

TZ Lucas passed away on August 27, 2011 at his home in Greenville. He was born February 5, 1920 in Quinlan, the son of James Calvin and Nellie Conley Lucas. He married Mildred Louise Lucas who preceded him in death. Mr. Lucas was a self-employed blacksmith by trade. He is survived by daughter, Antoinette Shelnutt and husband, Lesile; son, Eugene Lucas, all of Greenville. Grandchildren, Jory Shelnutt of Greenville, Tammy Lewis and husband Brad of Terrell; Gena Short and husband Stephen of Greenville; Patrick Lucas and wife of Wolfe City. Great-grandchildren Braden Lewis, Michael Short, Salanna Short, Mason Lucas and Logan Lucas. He is also preceded in death by a daughter, Veronica Lucas; his parents; four brothers and two sisters. Services for TZ Lucas will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, September 1, 2011 at Peters Funeral Home in Greenville. Burial will follow at IOOF Cemetery in Quinlan. Visitation will be from 6 " 8 P.M. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
