Shirley Jean Elkins, 70, of Greenville passed away Monday, May 15, 2017 at her home. A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm, Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Peters Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour before.
Shirley was born July 16, 1946 in Owenton, KY to Joseph Edward and Zula Savage. Shirley was an Aircraft Mechanic. She married Robert Elkins on February 14, 1987 in Longview, TX. He survives.
Those left to cherish her memory are sons, Ricky Prather, Bobby Prather, Scotty Prather and wife, Shurann, Matthew Elkins; daughters, Marsha Pence and husband, Charles, Pamela Hess, Katrina White and husband, Kory, Tiffany Elkins; sisters, Betty Prather, Nelva Thompson; brother Louis Savage; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and other family members. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Rhonda K. Hess; brothers, Joe Savage, David Savage; sisters, Mary Carter, Louise Gilreath, Alice Prather, and Barbara Savage.
