Sharon Rebecca (Leierer) Salois, age 75, of Greenville, passed away peacefully at home on February 2nd , 2023, after having been diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer in February 2022. Her family will be holding a celebration of life at a later date.

 

Sharon was born in Enid, Oklahoma on October 21st, 1947. She was the first child of Ernest and Waunita (Baltimore) Leierer. She grew up in Enid, Oklahoma and later attended Remington High School in Potwin, Kansas. Where she met her first husband, Billy Sommers. They married on July 17th , 1966, in Potwin, Ks. In their nearly 25 years of marriage, they were blessed with 3 children, Ronald Sommers of Greenville, Tx, Angella (Sommers) Hart or Lutz, Fl and their youngest son Timothy Sommers who passed away October 2nd , 1997, of Wichita, Ks. Sharon was primarily a homemaker, however as her children grew, she worked as a florist and as a retail associate with JCPenney Co. in Sherman, Tx. She also worked as a substitute teacher at Tom Bean Schools and as grocery clerk at Speedway in Tom Bean, Tx. They resided in Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas. She was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 43 in 1989. Billy and Sharon divorced in December 1990 and Sharon moved to California to be near her daughter and her family.

 

In 1991, Sharon met Joseph FurFuro, whom she married on July 2nd, 1992 making her a stepmother to his 4 adult children and many grand children whom she loved as her own. They lived in California, Florida, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas. They divorced in 2014 and moved to Greenville, Tx to be close to her son and his family.

 

In 2015 Sharon met Raymond Salois who asked for her hand in marriage. They married in October 2016 at a beautiful beach ceremony and reception in Destin, Florida. As a Christian woman, she took their vows to heart and thought he would be the man she would spend the rest of her life with. However, once she was no longer able to travel, she learned that he was not a man who keeps promises, they divorced in December 2022.

 

Sharon enjoyed making floral arrangements, traveling, the beach and most of all spending time with her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Sharon was a Breast Cancer survivor of 30 years; however, it was Pancreatic cancer that took her from us and allowed her to join her beloved family who passed before her in heaven.

 

Sharon is survived by her children Ronald G Sommers of Greenville, TX and Angella (Sommers) Hart of Lutz, FL. Grandchildren Corey G Sommers, and his wife Courtney (Robertson) Sommers, Amber S (Sommers) Russell and her husband Tony Russell of Greenville, TX, Travis K Hart of Tampa, FL, Daurian D Sommers and her husband Tyler Simants of Omaha, NE, Dillon J Hart and his wife Jamie (Lacasse) Hart of Cranston, RI. Great Grandchildren Lyla, Rue, Aurora and Witten Russell of Greenville, TX, Kyiden and Rayina Simants of Omaha, NE, Brooklyn and Lincoln Hart of Lutz, FL, Harper Sommers of Greenville, TX. A brother, Dennis D Leierer of Wichita, KS. Brothers and sister in laws from the Sommers family. Niece, April (Leierer) Houle and David Leierer of Wichita, KS as well as many other nieces and nephews on the Sommers family of KS and OK.

 

Sharon had married three times resulting in many adult stepchildren, step grandchildren, step great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, as well as extended family and friends who’s lives, she touched over the years.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents Ernest D and Waunita L (Baltimore) Leierer, a infant brother Ronald Leierer. Her youngest son, Timothy M Sommers, daughter in law, Deborah (Holt) Sommers and a grandson Justin B Hart.
