Sam Graves

Sam Graves was born on January 29, 1907 in Grand Cane, Louisiana son of Armstead and Mahala Turner Graves. He married Katherine Allen on August 25, 1930 in Mansfield, Louisiana. Mrs. Graves preceded him in death on April 14, 2001. He was a member of the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Caddo Mills. Those left with loving memories: Cora Lee Sirls, Fredie and Willie Adkins, Ruby and Jeff Johnson, Francene and Arvil Kemp, Marvin and Merrilee Graves, Curley Graves, Bobby and Tina Graves, Thomas Clyde Graves, Larry Wayne Graves; sisters in law, Willie Mae Crockett, Elizabeth Allen, Una B. Allen; brother in law, Jimmy Allen. Host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by sons, Sam Graves, Jr. and Roy Milton Graves; daughters Mahala Graves and Marie Williams, eight brothers and two sisters.
