Roy "Mike" Reed

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Roy “Mike” Reed, who peacefully departed this life on August 12, 2026, at the age of 76. He was born on December 15, 1949, to Roy and Frances Reed.

Mike was a loyal, hardworking man and, above all, a devoted family man. He worked for Air Performance and retired from there after 35 years, where his strong work ethic and loyalty were a reflection of the man he was in every part of his life. He was very strong in his christian faith and devout member of Covenant Fellowship Church.

Mike’s greatest joys were being a dad and a grandfather. His family meant everything to him, and he treasured the time spent making memories with those he loved. He was a loving husband to his wife, Vicki Reed, with whom he shared 48 years of marriage.

In his free time, Mike enjoyed coin collecting, watching movies, and metal detecting. He had a special love for his dog, Esther, and anyone who knew Mike probably knew of his fondness for tamales and street tacos.

Mike leaves behind a beautiful family who will carry his memory in their hearts: his daughter, Julia Welch and her husband, Steven Welch; his son, Zachary Reed and his wife, Rebecca Reed; his granddaughter, Savannah Garcia and her husband, Rico Garcia; his granddaughter, Elizabeth Welch and her partner, George Gibson; his granddaughter, Caroline Sharp and her husband, Drew Sharp; and his grandson, Riley Reed and his wife, Natalie Reed.

He is also survived by his great-grandchildren, Hadley, Eisley, Reid, Elijah, Whitley, Cooper, Eden, Marissa, and Hailey; and his great-great-grandchildren, Kyro and Kailynn.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Frances Reed, and his beloved wife, Vicki Reed.

Though he will be deeply missed, Mike’s legacy will live on through the many lives he touched and, most of all, through the generations of family he loved so dearly. His loyalty, hard work, love, and devotion to his family will forever be remembered.

Rest peacefully, Mike. You were deeply loved, and you will never be forgotten.
