Robert McKinney, Jr.

Robert Edgar McKinney, Jr., age 55, of Lone Oak, passed away in the mid morning hours of Thursday, May 01, 2008 at the Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. Mr. McKinney left this world to be with his Lord after a lengthy illness. Robert was born in Dallas, Texas on July 25, 1952 to Robert Edgar McKinney, Sr. and Norris Jean McKinney. They both survive. Mr. McKinney was a veteran of the United States Air Force. In his later years, he spent his time serving people as a charter bus driver. Mr. McKinney is survived by three children, DeAnn Nicole McKinney-Enis, Robert Edgar McKinney III, and his wife Dawn, all of Ocala, Florida, and Richard Thomas McKinney of Commerce; two brothers, James Thomas McKinney of Vallejo, California and Richard Wayne McKinney of Bonham; three sisters, Elizabeth Ann Hedaria, and husband Michael, of Pensacola, Florida, Virginia Lynn Jackson, and husband Rex, of Greenville, and Charlotte Marie Van Ettinger, and husband Louie, of Salisbury Center, New York; grandmother, Jesse D. Wilson; four grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Cremation services are under the arrangements of Peters Funeral. The family will have a graveside service at DFW National Cemetery on Monday, May 5, 2008 at 11:00 A.M.
