Peggy Griffis

Peggy Lynn Griffis, age 72, of Greenville, passed away in the morning hours of Sunday, November 28, 2010 at the Lake Pointe Medical Center in Rowlett. She was born on July 13, 1938 to Ernest Lee and Anna Maude (Morrow) Feagin. Peggy was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who lived in Caddo Mills for most of her life. She was very artistic and creative. Peggy sold Avon and wrote for the Caddo Mills Mirror Newspaper back in the 70s, and she had a poem published. She then went to work at Lance, Inc. in Greenville where she retired after 21 years. After retirement she suffered many health issues. Those left to cherish her memory are three daughters, Deborah Landrum, and husband Neil, of Greenville, Cheryl Mayberry, and husband Bill, of Caddo Mills, and Karen Kittrell of Caddo Mills; three sisters, LeeAnn Bybee of Oklahoma, and Carol Bivings of Grand Prairie, and Judy Farr of Greenville; one brother, Butch Feagin of Wills Point; three grandchildren, Aaron Marrs of Greenville, Brandy Lorance, and husband Danny, of Rowlett, and Michael Singleton of Plano; and three granddaughters she raised, Vanessa Turner of Greenville, Victoria Dean, and husband Daniel, and Valery Turner of Wolfe City. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren. Peggy was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Mike Feagin. Services for Peggy Griffin will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at Peters Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Memoryland Memorial Park with Daniel Dean, Danny Lorance, Michael Singleton, and Olin Farquhar serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 6 " 8 P.M. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
