Patricia Ann Elder

Mrs. Patricia Elder (Shegogue) died peacefully on January 26, 2023 in Greenville, Texas at the age of 74.

Patty is survived by her husband, Alan; children, Bobby and Matt; grandchildren, Victoria, Sebastian, Gage, Savannah, Madison and Sutton; great grandchild, Dominic; siblings, Ralph, Greg, Janet, and Millie. She is preceded in death by her brother, Bobby. Patty was born on June 26, 1948 in Washington, D.C. to Arthur & Marian Shegogue. She married Alan in 1970 and resided in LaPlata, MD most of her life. The birth of two sons, Bobby in 1971, and Matt in 1973, followed soon after.

Patty loved crafting, baseball, football, NASCAR, and country music. She was a dedicated volunteer in her boys’ Little League baseball years and enjoyed working part-time as a floral designer. More often than not, Patty could be found babysitting for friends and family.

Funeral services will not be held at this time, in lieu of a combined service at the time of Alan’s passing.

The family would like to thank Patty’s caregivers at Greenville Gardens Nursing and Rehab for their dedication to providing the specialized care Patty needed in her final years.
