Ozella Louise Moore Jones, age 80, of Greenville, passed away on March 20, 2010, after a long and vigilant struggle with cancer, surrounded by her family. She was born November 29, 1929 the daughter of Ed and Ludie Moore of Prairie Valley, Texas. Ozella graduated from Lone Oak High School and attended East Texas State Teachers College. She retired from E-Systems in 1993 and enjoyed many trips with her friends and family. Ozella lived the last three years with her daughter and son-in-law in Prosper. She embraced the Baptist faith at an early age and was faithful until she was called home. Ozella is survived by three children, Debbie Bowden, and husband Hank, of Prosper, Gary Jones, and wife Jana, of Greenville, and Perry Jones, and wife Yukiko, of Garland; one granddaughter, Stacey McDermott, and husband Mike, of Plano; five grandsons, Trey Bowden, and wife April, of Prosper, Jeremy Jones, and wife Katie, of McKinney, John Jones of Greenville, Dustin Jones of Greenville, and Sgt. David Jones, and wife Tylin, of Ft. Irwin, California; eight great-grandchildren, Tori Bowden, Whitney Jones, Patrick McDermott, William Bowden, Emily Jones, Mary Catherine McDermott, Caleb Jones, and Tolton James Jones; and many other family member and friends who will greatly miss her. She was preceded in death by ex-husband Buck Jones and all of her brothers and sisters: Opal Douglas, Eddie Moore, Henry Moore, Rev. Russell Moore, Grace Rodgers, Melvin Moore and Dale Moore. Services for Ms. Jones will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at the Peters Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roger Ratliff officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Valley Cemetery with her grandsons serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 6 " 8 P.M., Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
