Norma Letta Faye Selement, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2026, at the age of 92. She was born on July 17, 1934, in Cameron, Oklahoma, to Otis and Beulah Key.
On January 3, 1953, Letta married the love of her life, Charles “Chuck” Selement. Together, they built a life filled with family, love, and many cherished memories. Their three children were born in three different states during their years together: Gayle in Mississippi, Gary in Illinois, and Greg in Florida.
After 30 years of service in the Air Force, Norma and Chuck retired and made Greenville, Texas, their home. There, they purchased their first house and began a special chapter of their lives together in the community they came to love.
Norma was a devoted member of Hillside Church of Christ, where she treasured the friendships she made and the fellowship she shared with others. She had a special way of making those around her feel loved and welcomed, and the relationships she formed throughout her life were deeply meaningful to her.
Norma will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Gayle Covington and husband Joe; her son, Greg Selement; her adopted family, Sammy Walker and Manuela Covington; grandchildren, Ryan Covington and partner Seth, Ross Covington and wife Courtney, and Asa Woodland; and great-grandchildren, Tyler Covington, Tucker Covington, and Beau Woodland.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Otis and Beulah Key; her beloved husband, Charles “Chuck” Selement; her son, Gary Selement; her mother-in-law, Evelyn Selement; her father-in-law, Charlie Selement; and the Selement brothers.
Norma leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue through her family, the friendships she cherished, and the many lives she touched throughout her 92 years. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
