Mildred Lucas

Mildred Louise Lucas, age 84, of Greenville, passed away early Monday, December 08, 2008, at the Country View Manor in Terrell. Mrs. Lucas was born on January 27, 1924 in Lancaster, South Carolina to Samuel Elmore and Anna Belle (Craig) Lucas, they precede her in death. After high school, Mrs. Lucas worked as a seamstress for Haggar Pant Company. She married T.Z. Lucas, he survives. Mrs. Lucas was affiliated with Greenville Bible Church. Other survivors include one daughter, Toni Shelnutt, and husband Leslie, one son, Gene Lucas, four grandchildren, Patrick Lucas, Gena Short, Tommy Lewis, and Jory Shelnutt, five great-grandchildren, Logan Lucas, Mason Lucas, Michael Short, Salina Short, and Branden Lewis, and one sister, Maude Bradley. She was preceded in death also by one daughter, Veronica Roni Lucas, two brothers, and three sisters. Services for Mrs. Lucas will be held Thursday, December 11, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. at Peters Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Corbitt officiating. Burial will follow at the IOOF Cemetery in Quinlan. Visitation will be held at Peters from 6 " 8 P.M., Wednesday, December 10, 2008.
