Mildred Hulsey

Mildred Davis Hulsey, 96, of Greenville, passed away in the evening hours of Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at Hunt Regional Medical Center. She was born on August 20, 1913 in Greenville to Leroy and Lillie Patterson Davis. She married Marvin Mag Hulsey on December 25, 1937; he preceded her in death in 1990. Mrs. Hulsey graduated from Greenville High School. She worked for the City of Greenville and Robin Hood Flour Mill where she retired after 25 years. She was a lifelong member of Kavanaugh United Methodist Church and a member of the Rejabian Book Club. She leaves behind to cherish her memories one daughter, Diane Johnston, of Greenville, three grandsons, Lt. Col. (USAF) Jim Johnston of Colorado Springs, CO, Jeff Johnston of Hawaii, and Jason Johnston of College Station, and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one brother, Jack Davis. Funeral services for Mrs. Hulsey will be held on Saturday, November 14 at 2:00 PM at Kavanaugh United Methodist Church with Rev. Ann Barton officiating. Burial will follow in Memoryland Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Friday evening from 6-8 pm at Peters Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kavanaugh United Methodist Church.
