Life Legacy
Matthew Lewis Gurley passed away on Friday, June 17, 2016 at Hunt Regional Medical Center in Greenville. Funeral service will be 10:15am Friday, June 24, at DFW National Cemetery, burial with military honors. Visitation will be Thursday, June 23, 2016 6-8pm at Peters Funeral Home, 4201 Wellington St.

Matthew was born February 18, 1952 in Ada, OK to Matthew Isac Gurley and Annie Little Gurley. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He worked as an Insurance Salesman.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son Christopher L. Gurley, Sr. and wife Cindy of Longview, TX; daughter Michele Richardson of Pottsboro, TX; grandchildren CJ, Zane, Stephen, Morgan, Nick and Laura; 2 great grandchildren; mother, Annie Searcy of Plano, TX; brothers Jerry Gurley and wife Tammie of Little Elm, TX, Richard Gurley and wife Belinda of South Lake, TX, Wesley Gurley and wife Tammie of Denton, TX, and Ray Gurley and wife Diane of Little Elm, TX; sisters, Kim Reynolds and husband Randy, and Carla Scalf of Plano, TX. Matthew was preceded in death by his father.
