Mary Alice Ethridge (NANA), age 55, of Quinlan, passed away in the early morning hours of Friday, December 04, 2009 at Hunt Regional Medical Center at Greenville. She was born on October 8, 1954 in Conroe, Texas to Harvey James and Clara Eveline Tutter, they preceded her in death. Mary had one goal in life and that was to become a mother. She accomplished that goal by raising four children who in turn made her a proud grandmother and great grandmother. Mary never met a stranger that she didnt treat as family. She had a heart as big as Texas itself. In her free time from her family and friends, Mary was an outstanding artist. Her sudden passing will leave a void in the lives of those she touched which will never be filled. Mary is survived by her four children, Tamela Alice Pittman, and husband Don, Robert Byrd Jr., and wife Erica, Carolyn Wynette Cannaday, and husband Mike, and Jesse James Byrd, and wife Brandi; grandchildren, Krystal, Rachel, and Paris Pittman, Corey and Shawna Byrd, Richard Keene, Mary, Amber and Connie Ethridge, Ben, Destiny and Jacob Cannaday, Jacob, Joshua, Kaylie, Brandon and Jessica Byrd, great-grandchildren; Cheyenne Lopez, Mikayla Ethridge, Cadee Marie, Rayhan, and Skyy Cannaday. She also leaves behind her beloved fianc and best friend Robert Bob Raymond, his son Ronnie, and her siblings, Charlie Tutter, Elizabeth Tutter, Edna Mae Stanley, Louveda Solis, and Bryant Tutter Sr. Services for Ms. Ethridge will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, December 7, 2009 at Peters Funeral Home with Rev. Mac Ward Symes officiating. A visitation will precede the service beginning at noon at the funeral home.
