Marjorie Pemberton

Marjorie Hart Pemberton, 93 of Greenville Died May 1, 2014 at Oak Manor in Commerce. Funeral service will be at Peters Funeral Home Chapel in Greenville, Monday May the 5th at 2:00pm. Visitation will be Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.
Brother Johnny Hailes will officiate. Interment will be at Forest Park Cemetery. Her Pallbearers will be; Aaron Hyden, Phillip Hyden, Ron Sims, Scott Heaney, Shawn Bentley, Montana Holley.
Mrs. Pemberton was born October 2, 1920 In Riley Springs, Hopkins County. She was the daughter of Samuel Nelson Hart and Tinnie Etier Hart. She graduated from Campbell High School in 1938. She was a Civil Service employee during WWII.
She retired from Sears and Roebuck in Greenville. She was a long time member of Park Street Baptist Church of Greenville and taught Sunday school for many years. She was married to Charlie Pemberton in May of 1952 and he preceded her in death in 1987.
She was a very loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. She is survived by her son, James L. Pemberton and wife Theresa of Cumby; her daughter Marie Hyden and husband Randy of Greenville; grandchildren Megan Holley and husband Steven of Oklahoma; Mercy Sims and husband Ron of Miller Grove; Melody Heaney and husband Scott of Princeton; Margie Pemberton of Cumby; Mary Bentley and husband Shawn of Greenville; Phillip Hyden and wife Kandace of Greenville and Aaron Hyden and wife Mandy of Greenville.
Survivors also include 16 great grandchildren and 1 niece and 3 nephews.
Mrs. Pemberton was preceded in death by her husband, one infant son, her parents, six sisters, two brothers and several nieces and nephews.
Mom will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was a good example of what a true Christian should be and led her life accordingly.
