Lysta Gayle Griswold, 78, passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2016. Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, July 6, 2016 in Tidwell Baptist Church in Greenville. Burial will follow in Tidwell Cemetery under the direction of Peters Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday July 5, 2016 at Peters Funeral Home.

Lysta was born March 25, 1938 in Greenville to Inez (Willis) and Lester Cody. She was very independent and enjoyed working, she worked for the bank for many years and then worked as a secretary for a funeral home in Amarillo. She liked to work in her garden and in the yard. Lysta enjoyed traveling and catching up with family and friends on Facebook, but her favorite pastime was fishing.

Survivors are her son, Jim Griswold and wife Jill of Borger; daughter-in-law, Melia Griswold of Oklahoma; grandchildren, Karrah Inglehart and husband Todd, Garret Griswold and wife Kristin, Cody Griswold and Nickie Griswold; great-grandchildren, Kenadi, Konner, Kodee, Brinkley, Patton, Payton, Presleigh-Grace, Paislee and Bentley; brother, Larry Cody and wife Barbie of Lubbock; sister, Lynn Williams and husband Bob of Muskogee, Oklahoma; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Willard and son, Charles Cody Griswold.
