Nancy Lloydette Pederson passed away suddenly after a brief illness on Friday, February 17, 2012 in Greenville, Texas. Lloydette, known affectionately as Detty , was born May 21, 1934 to Lloyd Edward McClearen and Annie Laura (Russell) McClearen in Farmers Exchange, TN. Lloydette never met a stranger and she was appreciated by everyone who knew her for her unique and wonderful humor. Lloydette was an elementary school teacher, an artist and a member of Cavanaugh Methodist Church. She was always involved with teaching and sharing her art with both young and old alike. She taught Elementary School in Texas; and for a time at an American school in Thailand. Lloydette married Earl Cris Pederson. She and Earl traveled all over the world for his company, settling in Greenville, Texas after his retirement. Later, after Earls death, Lloydette married Roy Burkham. She and Roy made their home in Greenville. Lloydette is preceded in death by her parents Lloyd and Annie McClearen, brothers, James Edward, James William, and John Martin McClearen; sisters, Mary Elizabeth Nadas, Annie Russell Houk, Emma Jean Tolmach and her first husband, Earl Pederson. Hers is a smile that will surely be missed. A gathering of friends and relatives will be held on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Peters Funeral Home, Greenville, Texas. A funeral service and interment will be held at a later date in Centerville, Tennessee.
