Librada Martinez

Librada Nena Martinez Librada Martinez, 82,affectionately known to all her family and friends as Nena , passed away on Sunday, May 13, 2012 at Legends Care Center with her family by her side. She was born on August 17, 1929 to Gregorio and Manuela Anzaldua. She married Adan V. Martinez and moved to Greenville in 1962. She had six children and worked at Haggar Slacks until she retired. Nena was a great mother, grandmother and friend. She loved to be around her family. She liked to watch her Dallas Cowboys and Dallas Mavericks teams play. She even named her little dog Nash (after Steve Nash). She had such a good sense of humor and wit about her which is carried on in all her children. Mother will be dearly missed but never forgotten. Mom-We will meet you on the other side one day. Be waiting for us. We love you always. Nena was preceded in death by her parents and Adan Martinez, the father of her children. Those left to celebrate her life include her sons, Noe Martinez and wife Lisa and Roel Martinez; daughters, Diana Lopez and husband Raul, Gloria Novocisky and husband John, Joey Hale and husband Dennis, and Bebe Smith and husband Colby; grandchildren, Anthony Lopez, Monica Rayburn, Veronica Charles, Christi Hart, Brian Jones, Blake Jones, Kelli Hale, Colby Hale, Louis Martinez, Erica Williams, Daniel Woods, Ashley Woods, and Adan Martinez; as well as, sixteen great-grandchildren numerous friends and neighbors. Pallbearers are Colby Hale, Brian Jones, Eric Woods, Lewis Morquecho, Adan Martinez and John Novocilsky. There will be a gathering of friends and family Wednesday May 16, 2012 from 2 until 5 pm at Peters Funeral Home. A Rosary services will be held at 9 am Thursday May 17, 2012 at St. Williams Catholic Church followed by a funeral mass at 10 am. Interment will follow at East Mount Cemetery.
