Leon Blunt

Leon Blunt passed away on March 21, 2012 at his home in Caddo Mills, TX. He was born December 15, 1918 in Cumby, TX. Leon was a long time resident of the Van Sickle community. Here he was known for his many years of farming and devotion to his family. He was also a member of the United States Army. He is preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia R. Stutzman Blunt, his parents Nora Victoria Winkle and Arthur Monroe Blunt, his sister Ocie Mae Barrett and his brothers Nolan, Cleeteon, and Lloyd Ray. He is survived by his children: daughter, Leona Ayers of Hot Spring, Arkansas; son, Allen Blunt and wife Sue of Greenville; daughter, Arleen Blunt and husband Marv of McKinney; son, Jimmy Blunt and wife Elaine of Caddo Mills; and daughter, Kathryn Withrow and husband Skip of Caddo Mills. He was also blessed with the joys of six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Arrangements are under the direction of Peters Funeral Home of Greenville TX. Visitation will be Friday, March 23 from 6 to 8 pm. Graveside services will be held at 10:00am Saturday, March 24 at Memoryland Memorial Park, Greenville, TX.
