Laura Busby

Laura Jean Busby, age 85, of Greenville, passed away in the early morning hours of Friday, January 14, 2011 at Greenville Health & Rehab. She was born October 8, 1925 in Dallas, Texas to Ernest and Stella Duke Cheshire, they preceded her in death. Laura worked as the manager of an apartment complex in Dallas. She was married to James Busby for over 30 years and was a member of the Baptist faith. Laura Busby is survived by her husband James; and children, Georginna Singletary of Greenville, Frankie Spross of Wills Point, Gary Wayne Spross of Plano, Stella Daniel of Rowlett, and Namon Kouri, Jr. of Roanoke; and by numerous grandchildren and other relatives. Services for Mrs. Busby will be held at 1:00 P.M., Monday, January 17, 2011 at Peters Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Allgood officiating. Burial will follow at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Quinlan. Visitation was held on Saturday evening at the funeral home.
