Larry D. Killian, 59, of Paris, passed away Monday, October 10, 2016 at Paris Regional Medical Center. Visitation will be held Thursday, October 13, 2016 from 6-8pm at Peters Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 14, 2016 at Park Street Baptist Church in Greenville with Pastor Dewey Davidson officiating. Burial will follow at Farmersville IOOF Cemetery with Wayne Melton, Gary Phillips, Cody Phillips, Kyle Phillips, Ken Parker, Jeff Day, Brad Puryear and Jim Bird serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Conner Watson, Cooper Watson, Vernon Melton, Kevin Brooks, and Dennis Muller.

Larry was born September 10, 1957 in Dallas, Texas to Bobby Ray and Nelda Sue Killian, but grew up in Farmersville. He married Christine Muller on March 12, 1975 in McKinney, then he and his family moved to Greenville where they lived for over 25 years. He was a downtown business owner and highly respected by the Greenville community. After leaving the furniture business, he was a dedicated Sales Representative for Carolina Carports for several years before retiring to Paris to be near his children and grandchildren. He was an accomplished Dirt Track Racecar Driver earning numerous Track Championships and countless Feature wins. He was a legend within the racing community and loved by all. He never met a stranger and always had a smile on his face.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving and devoted wife of 41 years Cris Killian of Paris; daughter, Mandie Watson and husband, Justin of Paris; son, Benji Killian of Paris; mother, Nelda Sue Killian of Paris; grandchildren, Jaimelynn, Conner, and Cooper; sister, Steva Rae Killian of Paris; brother, James Killian, and wife, Kathy of Greenville; children by choice, Ashlee, Keith, and Mark; and countless other family members and friends. Larry was preceded in death by one son, Anthony Killian (Benji's twin), his father, Bobby Ray Killian, and brother, Donald Killian Sr.
