Larry Current

Larry Robert Current, 71, of Commerce passed away Thursday, July 23, 2015 at his residence. Funeral service will be 10:00am Monday, July 27, 2015 at Cross Trails Cowboy Church in Wolfe City with Rev. Oliver Mowat officiating. Burial will take place in the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery under the direction of Peters Funeral Home. Visitation will be 2:00pm until 5:00pm Sunday, July 26, 2015 at Peters Funeral Home. Larry was born January, 26 1944 in Dallas to David Owen Current and Naomi Louise Wooliver Current. He married Janett Sue Whatley October 16, 1964 in Garland. He proudly served his country in the US Army and was a member of the Cross Trails Cowboy Church. Larry is survived by his wife Janett Current of Commerce; daughter Christi Condor and husband Johnny of Commerce; sons David Current of Forney and Greg Current of Commerce; daughter-in-law Sherri Current of Forney; grandchildren Shelby and Ely, David, Haley, Lauren, Tyler, Lucas, Claire; great grandchild Kennadie; sister Sue Little of Canton; brother David Current of Mesquite. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Paul Current and Richard Current. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
