Keli Wallace Averill, passed away peacefully at home on August 2, 2025 leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. Keli was born to Peggy and Richard Wallace December 26, 1959 in Dallas, Texas. She married Steve Averill on June 11, 1999.
A devoted and loving wife, Keli was the heart of her home and a forever friend to those lucky enough to know her. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures — Cooking for loved ones, camping under the stars, reading a good book, playing games, and spending quiet, peaceful days lounging by the water with her beloved husband, Steve.
Keli’s warmth and kindness were evident in every relationship she nurtured. She brought people together with her vibrant spirit and her natural gift for making others feel welcome and loved.
She is survived by her awesome husband (her words) of 26 years, Steve Averill. Also by sisters, Vicki Ritter and Monica Wallace, nephews Carter Wallace and wife Aimee, Joshua Kaplan and wife Misaki, Trent Ballard and wife Whitney, Tracy Ballard and wife Clesi and niece Kelli Ritter. And many very close friends too numerous to mention.
Keli's presence and contagious laugh will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday September 12 at Ozona Grill, 4615 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75206 from 4pm to 8pm. Lite fair, Cookies and Cake will be served (per her request). We welcome you all to come and share your memories of Keli as we grieve the loss of our friend.
Those we love don’t go away,
They walk beside us every day.
Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed, and very dear.
