Jolande Nicole Wetter, 43, passed away peacefully at her home in Royse City, Texas on January 7, 2026. She was born at South Plains Hospital in Lubbock, Texas on December 1, 1982. She graduated from Royse City High School. JoJo had several jobs throughout life including Whataburger, Khol's, Bye Bye Baby, Bed Bath & and Beyond until she settled at Staples being a TSA agent.
JoJo was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be remembered by her sense of humor, infectious laugh, and caring personality.
While having no children herself, she loved her nephews and nieces like a mother would. David and Corey had the honor of having her in their everyday lives and considered her to be their second Mom. JoJo was known as someone who could bring a smile to everyone’s face. Even during her hardest struggles with the illness, she would find ways to make you laugh. She might have stuck her tongue out at you or did a little wiggle dance while washing her hands. You couldn’t help but do a little wiggle dance with her and at that point you would have a smile on your face that would make her so happy. She’d say “See I made you smile.”
She enjoyed spending time with friends and family, some of her favorite things to do were listening to music, puzzles, camping, swimming with her mom and road trips. She was very passionate about dedicating her time to support The Buddy Walk which she attended for the last 14 years. It promotes acceptance and inclusion of people with down syndrome. Her family and friends will take comfort in their cherished memories of her. She will be missed dearly by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
JoJo is survived by her parents, LaJuana Louise and Michael Arthur Wetter of Royse City, Texas, 3 sisters and 2 brothers: Jennifer Lynn Dunn and her husband Nathan of Greenville, Texas, James David Wetter and his wife Andrea of Lubbock, Texas, Jamie Dreikosen of Cloudcroft, New Mexico, Courtney Peralta and her husband Canek of Houston, Texas, and Alexis Bowling of Phoenix, Arizona. 3 nephews and 2 nieces: David Zackory Polley and his wife Brittaney of Royse City, Texas, Janis Nicole Wetter of Denton, Texas, Corey Bonham Dunn of Greenville, Joshua Wetter of Denton, Texas, and Jade Wetter of Lubbock, Texas; Grandparents Cassie and Harold Bowling of Roundrock, TX ….and many aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous other loving family members and cherished friends.
