Joel Ripley Davison

Joel Ripley Davison, 87, of Royse City, Texas, passed away on August 15, 2026. A lifelong resident of Royse City, Joel spent the past 10 years in assisted living and nursing care.

Joel was a hardworking outdoorsman who made his living in forestry, cutting wood, trimming trees, and logging timber. He loved hunting, fishing, and trapping, especially coon and mink. He also took great pride in maintaining his large garden.

Known as a good storyteller and a friend to many, Joel enjoyed researching his family history and sharing stories of his life and adventures. He will be remembered for his hardworking spirit, love of the outdoors, and genuine friendship. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
