Joe Hill Carpenter of Farmersville went home to rest peacefully with His Lord & Savior, on Saturday, November 1st, 2025 at the age of 84. Joe was born on October 28, 1941, in Dallas, TX to D.H. Carpenter & Viola Carpenter Meeks. He married his beautiful bride Jolley “Annette” Carpenter on February 27, 1965, in Garland, TX.
Growing up Joe attended Athens Elementary and Lancaster High School; he enjoyed playing football and baseball. After high school he continued playing sports coaching teams in rec leagues.
He was dedicated to family from a young age; he helped take care of his younger siblings and provided for them as best he could.
On Thanksgiving he met the love of his life, Annette, they were together for 61 years and married for 57 of those years. They knew the true meaning of until death do us part. They had two daughters, Jonette and Jolyn, and raised them to be God fearing women.
Joe was a strong man that sat silent and listened to all the stories but especially the needs. He worked tirelessly to provide for those he loved and cared about. His generosity shined through for all to see, even those he didn’t know.
From hardship to President of his own company, SSGA Insurance, nothing seemed too hard for him. He followed the Lord and gave of his time as deacon, elder or treasurer of each church he attended. Even when the youth group needed extra chaperones he was there.
He loved working for the Texas Rangers in the executive offices and in the ball park; which at the time, he was the only one allowed to do so.
Joe treasured his family and the time spent making memories. From coaching his girls in softball to making their wishes come true. Family was his heart and soul, always there to lend a hand. His grandchildren brought joy to his life; a depth of love he struggled to speak yet bursted through with a hug and a smile from cheek to cheek.
Joe is survived by his Daughter Jonette Michelle Watson & husband Travis of Farmersville, Tx, Granddaughters Lois “Mahaleigh” Killman & husband Mino and Miranda Keel of Farmersville, TX; Marisa Ahlgrim & husband Tyler of Edgewood, NM, Landry Castricone of Wylie, Tx, Brittney Watson and Kelsie Watson of Wichita Falls, Tx, Grandsons Martin Ahlgrim of Georgetown, Tx and Aaron Watson of Farmersville, Tx, Sisters-in-law Barbara Delgado and husband Juan of Winnsboro, Tx, Shirley Brown of Allen, Tx, Son-in-law & Daughter-in-law Joseph and Denise Castricone, and 10 Great-Grandchildren, and several cousins, nieces & nephews.
