Joanna Marie Strudwick, 74, of Greenville passed away Friday, July 4, 2008 at Richardson Regional Medical Center in Richardson, Texas. Mrs. Strudwick was born June 22, 1934 in Altus, Oklahoma to Earl Usher and Lois Hazel Coker. Memorial services will be held Friday, July 11, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at Peters Funeral Home Chapel with Carl Culpepper officiating. (3935 Joe Ramsey Blvd E, Greenville, TX) Joanna married Don Strudwick at New Hope Church, in Marietta, Texas on November 16, 1986. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Greenville and worked as a registered nurse for Jordan Health Services. Joanna held a Bachelor of Arts degree and Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing, and completed a Nurse Practitioner degree. For many years she resided in Omaha, Texas, worked at the Omaha Clinic as a registered nurse, clinic nurse and lab and x-ray technician and served as an active member of the New Hope Church in Marietta. Survivors include her husband Don Strudwick, 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. Michael and Rhonda Tenbrook of Austin and Cory and Kim Tenbrook of McKinney, 1 daughter, Cristi Costello of Trenton, 7 grandchildren, Charlotte Phillips of Mt. Pleasant, Luke Tenbrook of Austin, Tyler, Katelynn, and Kylee Tenbrook of McKinney, Cheynne Hall and Lucy Costello of Trenton, 1great-grandchild, Tripp Phillips of Mt. Pleasant, 2 Sisters, Shirley Waterman of Mentone, CA, and Pauline Hansen of Camino Island, WA, and 1 brother, Vernon Usher of Portland, Oregon. She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Dr. Adron Tenbrook and son Chuck Tenbrook. Cremation arrangements are being handled by Peters Funeral Home.
