Jimmie Fulton, 73, passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 in Greenville, Texas. Jimmie was born to Redmon and Rua Myrle Burkhalter on June 27, 1940 in Marietta, Texas. Jimmie would meet and later marry Robert Fulton on March 5, 1960 in Greenville, Texas. To this union were born three children, Connie, Duane and Vicki.

Jimmie would spend her life creating a loving home for her family. She was a seamstress, an avid gardener and a wonderful cook. She was famous for her awesome brownies. Jimmie loved children. She would work as a child care provider with Nance Daycare for 15 years. She then opened her own home to care for children for another 15 years before retiring. Jimmie loved spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren. Jimmie was a member of the Dixon Baptist Church for many years.

Jimmie is preceded in death by her parents, Redmon and Rua Myrle Burkhalter; brothers and sisters, Billy Burkhalter, Meredith Crumpton, Betty London and Arnold Joyce; grandson Matthew Virgel.

Those left to celebrate her life include her beloved husband of fifty-four years, Robert Fulton; son, Duane Fulton and his wife Kristi; daughters, Connie Giles and her husband Stanley, Vicki Virgel and her husband Terry; grandchildren, Jodi Stoneberg and her husband Ben, Lacey Kendall and her husband Andy, Cody Giles, Emily Giles, Deven Fulton,, Kaleb Fulton, Lynzie Fulton and Brian Virgel; great-grandchildren, Vincent Kendall, Vada Kendall and Makenna Stoneberg; as well as numerous extended family, friends and neighbors. She will truly be missed.

A gathering of friends and family will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held the following day on Sunday, March 16, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. Interment will immediately follow the service at Memoryland Memorial Park.
