Jesse Gilbert, Jr.

Jesse (Jess) Gilbert, formerly of Greenville, passed away on March 23, 2013 at Clarksville Nursing Home. He was 77 years old. Jess was born on September 23, 1935 in Corpus Christi to Jesse Gilbert, Sr. and Louselle Parker Gilbert and spent his growing up years in Sinton, Texas. He graduated from Texas Tech University in 1960 and that same year married Jane Gilbert from Greenville. He retired from public service in 1984. Those left to celebrate his life include his wife, Jane Gilbert of Greenville, daughter, Meg Vazquez and husband Tony of The Woodlands, son, Bobby of Cheyenne, Wyoming and his grandsons; Nicholas and Gabriel Vazquez. Jess is preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Susan Patricia. A Memorial service will be held Thursday, March 28, 2013 at 3:00p.m. at Peters Funeral Home.
