Jay Lynley Jones

Memorial service for Jay Lynley Jones, age 60, of Cooper, TX will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, August 7, 2022 at Enloe Community Center. Mr. Jones passed away on Monday, August 1, 2022 at his residence.

Jay was born on May 4, 1962 in McKinney, TX to Jerry and Patronia Jones. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and custom painting. Jay worked for Wal-Mart Warehouse for over 20 years. 

He is survived by his daughter, Elainia Williams and her husband Adam of Palestine, TX.; grandson, Daulton of Palestine, TX.; mother, Patronia Jones of Enloe, TX.; sisters, Yulanda Mercer and her husband Guy Highfill of Carryville, TN., and Lasonia Smith and her husband Billy of Kemp, TX.; niece, Tonya Payne of Emory, TX.; nephew Kenny Morris and his wife, Michelle of Farmersville, TX.; nephew, Daniel Dixon of Dallas, TX.; niece Paige Kelley and her husband, Justin of Bells, TX.; aunt, Colleen Austin and her husband, Leroy of Quinlan, TX.; uncle, Anthony Short and his wife, Linda of Farmersville, TX., along with a host of cousins and friends.

Jay is preceded in death by his father, Jerry Jones; maternal grandparents, Marshall and Kathelene Short; paternal grandparents, J.L. and Louise Jones; uncles, Danny and Bobby Jones.
