James Gammon

James Albert Gammon passed away September 28, 2018 in Greenville. James was born in Dallas the son of James and Vonelle Gammon on April 17, 1956. He married Nannette Helton in 1998. He served in the United States Army and worked as a plumber.

He is survived by his wife of 20 years; parents, Vonelle and Charles Hathcock; sons, Kevin Gammon (Amanda) and Cody Gammon (Misty); step-son, Steven Sorrell (Lindsey); step-daughter, Stacy Sorrell; grandchildren, Brianna Gammon, Cole Gammon, Hope Gammon, Shelby Gammon, Chance Gammon, Colt Gammon, Addison Sorrell, Avrie Sorrell, and Ansley Sorrell; sisters, Vicki Newsome, Diana Fraser, Christine Newman, Kathy Garrett, and Jana Jones; many nieces, nephews, and other family members.

He was preceded in death by father.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 8, 2018 at Shady Grove Baptist Church.
