"JD" James David Fanning a smiling lover of family, country, fun, dogs, NASCAR and the Dallas Cowboys died on February 7, 2022, at age 49. Born in Dallas, TX and survived by his parents, Henry David Fanning of Dawsonville, GA and Jane Humphries Collins of Greenville, TX.
Raised in Dallas, TX and Atlanta, GA. Baptized in 1988. Graduated Forsyth High School in Georgia. Attended Georgia Southern University. Employed by Georgia Hospital and Foundation. Later worked for NEC Corporation in Sales and Marketing.
An auto accident in 2015 left him permanently traumatized and disabled by "TBI" (traumatic brain injury) a CTE like head injury resulting in physical, emotional, and psychological health issues.
JD left behind his sister, Jade Ranes of Greenville, TX and his son, Michael David Fanning of Arlington, TX, plus loving aunts, uncles, friends, cousins, including Aunt Mary Catherine Grant, a long time Boxelder resident and the last living child of Hub and Finlayson Humphries.
The "Celebration of Life" will be held in the Boxelder Methodist Church Fellowship Hall beginning at 2 pm on Saturday, March 5, 2022.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Boxelder Cemetery Association in remembrance of JD. The address for donations is 11864 FM 909, Bogota, TX 75417.
