Jackie Ulaine Tarrant, 76, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on August 30, 2026. She was a beloved wife, mother, YaYa, granny, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She leaves behind a life filled with love, family, worship, generosity, and friendship.

Jackie was born on September 27, 1949, to Virginia Nell Stigall and Phillip Lawson Payne in Greenville, Texas. She married Bobby Doyle Tarrant on September 1, 1972, in Greenville, Texas. Together they raised three boys who were her complete love, pride, and joy. Actually - there were four boys if you want to count Emeril (their spoiled rotten dog.) Later in life, her grandbabies (Emery Nell and Will Lawson) became her true treasure and love of her heart.

Jackie was a beautiful homemaker, the best cook in the entire world, and a skilled shopper. Her love of antiques, home décor, holidays, and decorating her home for family and friends was unparalleled. Jackie worked in retail management for numerous years before transitioning to national sales and management at Dust Free in Royse City, Texas.

Jackie was also a faithful member of Shady Grove Baptist Church. She served on multiple committees and teams throughout the years. Mama loves Jesus. Her faith shaped the woman she was and helped her trust God through every circumstance.

The family and friendships formed throughout her life, work, and the church are cherished by Mama and her family. The family can never thank you enough for your love, prayers, and support. Mama was deeply loved, and she will be deeply missed.

Jackie is survived by her devoted husband Bobby Tarrant. Sons: Bobby Tarrant and wife Kristi, Brad Tarrant and wife Dondi. Grandchildren: Emery and Will Tarrant. Sister: Latricia Stillwell. Numerous nephews and nieces.

Jackie was preceded in death by her brother Randy Payne, son Richard Kevin Hooten, mother Virginia Payne, father Phillip Payne, and brother Michael Payne.
