Hershel Shipman

Hershel Ray Shipman, Age 76, of Greenville, passed away on Friday, April 4, 2008 at Presbyterian Hospital of Plano from diabetes related illness. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Peters Funeral Home Mr. Shipman was born on Jan. 28, 1932 in Dallas, Texas, the son of Hershel H. and Margie A. Eastham Shipman. He married Carol Marie Shipman, she preceded him in death in 2001. He served with the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and was a member of the Greenville VFW post 4011. Survivors include his son, Lance A. Shipman of Redlands, California; two grandsons and three sisters. There will be no service and the family requests that no flowers be sent. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association Peters Funeral Home of Greenville is in charge of arrangements.
