Harold Matthews

Harold W. Matthews, 71, of Campbell, passed away in the early morning hours of Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at the Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. Graveside services for Mr. Matthews will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, May 22, 2008 at Rosemound Cemetery in Commerce. Visitation will be held from 1-2 P.M., Thursday at the Cemetery. Harold was born in Commerce, Texas on September 19, 1936 to Sam and Florence Hamilton Matthews. He graduated high school from Commerce and attended East Texas State University in Commerce. Mr. Matthews was retired from a career as a salesman at the time of his death. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion in Dallas. Harold is survived by two sisters, Hazel Vick of Commerce and Pat Price of Garland, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
