Guy Thomas Sauter, 66, of Royse City, Texas, passed away on June 11, 2026. He was born on November 14, 1959, in New York to Arthur and Joy Sauter.
Guy was known for his wonderful sense of humor and his ability to make people laugh. Bringing happiness to others was one of his greatest joys, and he took pride in putting a smile on someone's face. Though he was a city boy by birth, he grew to love country life after moving to Texas. He found peace and contentment on the farm, where many of his favorite memories were made.
Guy enjoyed caring for animals and took great pleasure in learning the ways of farm life, from calling up the horses and cows to helping with plowing and other farm work. He also loved traveling, enjoying good food, and treating himself to life's simple pleasures.
Following an accident later in life, Guy faced many challenges. While the accident sometimes affected his temperament, he was deeply grateful for the kindness shown to him by family, friends, and others who continued to support and care for him. One of his proudest moments was seeing the compassion people extended to him and knowing that he had touched the lives of others in return.
Guy is survived by his loving wife, Sandra Sauter; his son, Brent Sauter; and his many brothers and sisters, all of whom will cherish his memory. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Joy Sauter.
Guy will be remembered for his humor, his love of animals, his appreciation for country living, and the laughter he brought to those around him. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
