Geneva McGee

Geneva O. McGee, (nee Hogue), 89, passed away Friday, May 18, 2012 in Greenville, Texas. Geneva was born March 9, 1923, the daughter of Sam and Viola Hogue of Point, Texas. Raised in Point, Geneva graduated from Point High School in May, 1941. Geneva met and married the love of her life, W.A. McGee on February 5, 1944. Geneva is preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Viola; her beloved husband, "Joe"; two sons, James and Lynn McGee; one sister, Faye Elliott. Those left to celebrate her life include her son, Jerry McGee and is wife Josie; daughters, Betty Dickerson and Carol Millard; thirteen grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; nephew, Benton Elliott; as well as a host of friends and neighbors. A gathering of friends and family will be held on Sunday, May 20, 2012 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held the following day, Monday, May 21, 2012 at 10:00 a.m., also at the funeral home. Interment will be at Memoryland Memorial Park immediately following the service.
