Gary Don Richardson, 68, passed away at his home on September 19, 2026. He was born on June 12, 1958, in Fort Worth, Texas.

Gary was a God-fearing man whose faith guided the way he lived and loved. He was a devoted father, a proud grandfather, and an incredibly loving husband. Family was one of the greatest blessings in Gary’s life, and some of his happiest moments were spent laughing with those he loved and watching his children and grandchildren grow.

Gary loved his wife, Glenda, as his soulmate and partner in life. His devotion to her was unwavering. Their marriage was a reflection of the kind of love Gary believed in—steadfast, loyal, patient, and enduring. He was not simply Glenda’s husband; he was her companion, protector, caregiver, and best friend.

Gary proudly served his country for six years in the United States Navy. He was highly intelligent and had a lifelong love of learning, eventually earning his master’s degree in technical writing. He also had a natural gift for technology. Whenever something needed to be figured out, fixed, or explained, Gary was the person everyone turned to. His family knew that if he did not already have the answer, he would find it.

But Gary’s intelligence was only one part of who he was. He loved to laugh, especially with his family, and he found tremendous joy in watching the people he loved grow and succeed. He was one of their greatest supporters, always encouraging his children and grandchildren to believe in themselves, pursue their goals, and follow their dreams. Their accomplishments brought him genuine pride, and he never missed an opportunity to remind them of what they were capable of.

Gary enjoyed being outdoors and watching the Dallas Cowboys play, but nothing compared to the time he spent with his family. Whether celebrating their accomplishments, sharing laughter, or simply being together, those were the moments that meant the most to him.

Gary leaves behind his beloved wife, Glenda Richardson; his children, Quay Struckmeyer, Joshua Harmon, Nathaniel Richardson, and Kimberly Richardson-Soileau; and seven beloved grandchildren, along with other family members and friends whose lives were touched by his wisdom, humor, encouragement, and love.

Gary accomplished many things during his lifetime, but his greatest legacy cannot be measured by his education, career, or achievements. His legacy lives in the wife he loved with his whole heart, the children he supported and encouraged, and the grandchildren he treasured watching grow. It lives in every lesson he taught, every problem he helped solve, every laugh shared with his family, and every time he reminded someone he loved that they were capable of achieving their dreams.

His family will miss having him there to answer the questions no one else could answer, share a laugh, watch a Cowboys game, offer encouragement, or simply enjoy being together. Most of all, they will miss the steady presence of a man who loved his family completely.

The knowledge Gary shared, the faith he lived, the laughter he brought, and the unconditional love he gave will remain with his family always. His absence leaves a space that can never truly be filled, but the life he lived and the love he gave will continue through the family
