Dr. Foy Jean Hungerford

Dr. Foy Jean Hungerford, age 88, residing in Greenville, Texas, entered the prescence of her Lord and Savior on August 9, 2022. Born in Coolidge, Texas on April 15, 1934 to Roy and Syble Culverhouse, younger sister to Dorothy and Lloyd Odell was her younger brother and Wanda was the youngest sister. Jean graduated from Waco High in 1952. She attended Baylor University for four years and East Texas State University for six years, receiving a Masters and a Doctorate. Jean taught school for 45 years. She retired at the age of 70. She loved to arrange flowers and decorate cakes and was always loving and extremely generous.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Darling of Greenville; granddaughters, Rebecca Compton and Shea Compton, other grandkids, Thomas, Chad, Amber, Randy Hungerford, two nieces, Syble and Kim, and nephew, Ricky.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Hungerford, her sisters Dorothy and Wanda; brother, Lloyd and her nephew Bob Andrews; her mother, Syble and father, Roy Odell, James Hungerford; sons, Randy Hungerford and Scott Hungerford.

There will be a Funeral Service at Peters Funeral Home on August 20, 2022 at 11:00 AM with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Waco Memorial Cemetery.
