Florence Byrom

February 6, 1916 — October 18, 2016

Florence Virginia Snyder Byrom passed away peacefully on October 18, 2016 in Greenville, TX at the age of 100. She was born on February 6, 1916 to John Philip Snyder and Mary Louisa (Sheppard) Snyder in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She was the youngest of seven siblings: Joe, Johnny, Marion, Catherine, George and Frank.
Florence, even as a young girl, was know for her beautiful penmanship. She was 12 when she got her first job, decorating and writing names on Easter Eggs, at Woolworth's. A child of the Depression, she worked hard her entire life. She loved books and poetry and was know for her friendly smile and ready laugh.
She was preceded in death by: son David William Coyle, daughter Joyce Burrell Bailey, granddaughter Joy Fisher, great-grandson Alan Ray James and great-great-granddaughter Irelynd Faye Butler.
Three husbands also predeceased her: David W. Coyle, Leslie Burrell and Bates Byrom.
Daughters Robin Burrell Thorsen and June Burrell (Kenneth) Bailey survive her.
Carrying on her legacy are grandchildren:
Gay Potvin of Prosper,
Brian Bailey of Howe,
Maureen Meisner of California,
David Bailey of Flower Mound,
David Coyle of Ireland,
Lisa Fowler of McKinney,
Murri Hicks of Tioga
and Patrick Coyle of Prosper.
Also, eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Special thoughts to nephew Frank Snyder and nieces Mary Marchesano, Kathleen Montello and Carol Douglas.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
Memorials may be made to the Disabled American Vets or the Salvation Army in her honor.
