Eupha Larnell Hazal, 96; passed away on Monday, March 25, 2013 in Greenville, Texas. Eupha was born the youngest of nine children to Sample and Lou Smith in Fannin County on May 28, 1916. She met and later married Paul Hazal on January 17, 1940 in Leonard, Texas. Eupha was a loving soul who spent her life in the care of others. She provided a safe and happy home for her husband and two children. She worked as a caregiver and babysitter, pouring her life and her love into others. Eupha was a member of the Salem-Kinser United Methodist Church of Greenville. Eupha is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul; her son Larry Gene Hazal and here eight brothers and sisters. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Lou Hazal; granddaughters, Theresa Dowell and her husband, Bobby; Ginger Rodgers and her husband, Doug; seven great-grandchildren; as well as a host of friends and neighbors. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Peters Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held the following day, Thursday, March 28, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Salem-Kinser United Methodist Church in Greenville. Reverend Bill Shaddox will officiate. Interment will be immediately following the service at Pike Cemetery in Leonard, Texas.
