Ellis Perilloux

Ellis E.J. Perilloux, age 72, of Greenville, passed at his home on Friday, September 3, 2010. He was born on August 10, 1938 in Ponchatula, Louisiana to Jacob Albert and Iris Inez Vining Perilloux, they preceded him in death. After graduation from high school, Mr. Perilloux served his country in the United States Navy. During his time in the service, he met and married the love of his life, Lucy Faye Roach. They were married on December 22, 1961 in Escondido, California and have together spent the last 49 years raising a family and making a lifetime of memories not soon to be forgotten. In 1965, Mr. Perilloux began a career at L-3 Communications that would last over 42 years until his retirement as a production engineer in 2007. In retirement, E.J. served as the President of the retired members chapter of the local UAW 967. He had a passion for people, music, and the outdoors and enjoyed watching the Texas Ranger, Dallas Cowboys and LSU Tigers but most importantly Mr. Perilloux loved his family. He was a devoted husband, loving father, and the worlds best Pa-Paw. Mr. Perilloux is survived by his wife Lucy, of Greenville; daughters, Lori Perilloux Berryhill, and husband Travis, of Austin, Vicky Perilloux Hendrix, and husband Tim, of Greenville, and Euna Inez Perilloux Wardrip, and husband John, of McKinney; grandchildren, Melanie Diane Morrison, Nigel Jacob Olson and wife Miranda, Julie Ann Berryhill, Matthew Travis Berryhill, Devin Taylor Olson, and Brandon Chase Hendrix; great-grandchildren, Katelin Michelle Stewart, Gwendylan Eve Rinado, Kaleb Lynn Westfall, and Raymond Jacob Vincent; brothers, Leo Perilloux and Lynn Perilloux; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Travis Perilloux and Larry Perilloux; sister, Charlene Chattler; father-in-law, Merle Roach, brothers-in-law, Robert Roach, Eddie roach, and Carlton Roach; and sister-in-law, Patricia Gambrell. Services for Mr. Perilloux will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at Peters Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Rather officiating. Burial will follow at Memoryland Memorial Park in Greenville with Phillip Hopkins, Mo Soto, Sonny Ashley, Jeff London, John Willaby, and Fred Hite serving as pallbearers and the men and women of the retired members chapter of the local UAW 967 serving as honorary pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 6 " 8 P.M., Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at the funeral home.
