Earl Wayne Jackson, age 71, of Quinlan, passed away in the early morning hours of Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born on May 16, 1939 in Snyder, Oklahoma to William Newton and Edith Lorene (Waldon) Jackson, they preceded him in death. Wayne married the love of his life, Marine Fomby, on November 15, 1958 in Madill, Oklahoma; she survives. Mr. Jackson owned and operated EDM of Garland, Inc. for over 25 years. Wayne will be remembered most for his hard work ethic and love for his family. He was a self taught man who never went without work and would do whatever it took to provide for his family. In his free time he loved to fish and hunt and when at all possible he had his grandchildren at his side. Wayne was saved at the Lewisville Baptist Church in 1976 and took great pride in preaching when at all possible. Mr. Jackson is survived by his wife of 52 years, Marine; son, Briane Jackson, and wife Diane, of Atlanta, TX; daughter, Nancy Jackson Harris, and husband Joe, of Florida; brother, Jackie Jackson, and wife Barbara, of Quinlan; 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, and a host of friends. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Jackson and William Jackson, Jr. Services for Earl Wayne Jackson will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, April 2, 2011 at Peters Funeral Home in Greenville with Brother Adam William officiating. Burial will follow at the IOOF Cemetery in Farmersville with Kenny Fomby, Rodney Fomby, Dennis Jackson, Mike Jackson, Perry Jackson, and Steve Jackson serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 6- 8 P.M. Friday evening at the funeral home.
