Dorothy Irene Troise

Dorothy Troise, born September 9, 1956, in Pasadena, California, to Victor and Barbara Beekman, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2025, at the age of 69.

Dorothy will be remembered as a caring and witty soul, with a sharp sense of humor and a touch of sarcasm that always brought laughter to those around her. Her love for animals and devotion to her family were at the center of her life.

Many cherished memories were made in Dorothy’s home, where visitors were always welcomed by the surprises she delighted in sharing—unique antiques, collectibles, and her daily treasures from auctions. She found joy in baking eclairs and pumpkin pies, making each gathering a little sweeter.

Her hobbies reflected her vibrant and curious spirit. Dorothy had a passion for antiques and auctions, loved raising and spending time with her pet cows, and once bred dogs. She also enjoyed trips to the casino and took pride in collecting and displaying her phonographs, sharing her appreciation for history and craftsmanship with others.

Dorothy is survived by her son, Guthrie Troise; her grandson, Brenden Troise; and her husband, Ray Hartman. She was preceded in death by her parents, Victor and Barbara Beekman.

Dorothy’s humor, warmth, and love will be deeply missed but forever remembered by her family and all who knew her.
