Debra Lynn Hicks

November 16, 1961 — January 30, 2024

Lone Oak, Texas

Debbi (Debra) Lynn Hicks, age 62, of Lone Oak Texas, passed away on 1/30/2024. She went to heaven to live eternally with The Lord and her family who have passed away as well. Reuniting with her husband Robert M. Hicks.

Debbi was born on 11/16/1961 in Webb City, Missouri. Debbi spent her childhood in Miller Missouri and was raided up on a small farm. Debbi got married on 7/28/1979 to her lifelong husband Robert M. Hicks (Bud) in Aurora Missouri. Debbi and Bud had two children. Debbi worked 30 + years at Cuddy Farms (which later turned into Ag Forte). She then furthered her education and got a degree in medical coding. Debbi and Bud spent most of their lives in Aurora and Mount Vernon Missouri. They moved to Texas in the last years of their life to be closer to family.

Debbi always enjoyed the “outdoor life”. Including gardening, fishing, camping, and pretty much anything that was outdoors. She also loved cooking for her family and friends (a great cook). Debbi was known for being an exceptionally embracing/loving person. Investing everything she had into her family. Above all, she was a compassionate follower of Jesus Christ.

Debbi is survived by her sons: Robert M. Hicks II of Mount Vernon, Missouri, and Casey L. Hicks of Lone Oak, Texas. Her daughter-in-law Kimberly A. Hicks of Lone Oak, Texas. Grandchildren: Joslyn & Christian Hicks of Lone Oak, Texas. Jaden and Jolie Hicks of Marshfield, Texas. Cousins: Nino Huffman of Springfield, Missouri, and Bill Huffman of Dallas, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husband - Robert M. Hicks. Parents: Father - Wallace Noltensmeyer and Mother - Alice Huffman.

Debbi's final request was to have a "celebration of life" event after being cremated. The date for this is TBD and family/friends will be notified accordingly. Any donations should be made in the form of a “pay it forward” format. Meaning, look for an opportunity to bless someone in your life. Showing love to others is the essence of who Debbi was and is.
